Private Lessons

Whether you’ve been struggling with a specific shot, or you want quality full swing advice from a professional but you aren’t ready to commit to a long term package, our ½ Hour Lessons are perfect for you. In 30 minutes your instructor will work to develop a short term practice plan to improve one aspect of your game. After your lesson feel free to spend 30 minutes practicing at our private range or short game facility.

Our 3 Step Process starts by using film to show you what you’re doing now, then using demonstrations or professional examples we will work to show what you should be doing, and in the third step we will work together to help you develop a practice plan achieve your golf-related goals.

This fitting is designed for players happy with their current set of clubs but needs to address how effectively the set covers different distances.  Carry distances are measured to within 1 foot of every 100 yards.  From this data, gaps and overlaps in the set are identified.

Golf 101 is a specially-designed, first step for newcomers to learn the game of golf in a low-stress environment. This 1.5-hour class focuses on golf’s fundamentals. The ultimate goal is to give students a basic understanding of the multifaceted game of golf- from the equipment used and the etiquette involved in the layout of the courses themselves so that new golfers can learn with confidence. The class is limited to the first 8 participants to sign up so please sign up right away to guarantee a spot!

Newport Indoor Golf continues to excel in professional lessons with RJ Soares returning as our Head Teaching Professional. RJ is coming to us from Sakonnet Golf Club where he teaches during the summer months. He has also worked at other top clubs around the country including Jupiter Hills, Charles River, Old Marsh, and the Aquidneck Club. Over his travels, RJ has worked with some of the best teaching professionals in the world and he hopes to bring that level of excellence to Newport Indoor Golf. RJ works with players from every skill level including beginners, collegiate, high school, and mini-tour.
